UPERFECT NxtLED One Plus 120Hz Portable Gaming Monitor Review
First Impressions
For your viewing pleasure, I’ve got a UPERFECT monitor here. This one is using their newer NxtLED™ tech. They actually sent this over and asked if I wanted to review it, and I figured, alright, let’s do this.
So this is the UGame E4Nxt (now renamed NxtLED One Plus), an 18.5-inch portable monitor with a 120Hz refresh rate. Right away, that already tells you what this is targeting. It is clearly built for gaming, especially portable gaming.
At 1080p, it sits in a very practical spot. You are not dealing with heavy scaling, and you are not putting too much pressure on your GPU. At this size, the image still looks sharp. It is not trying to be overkill. It is trying to be usable.
Designed for Bright Environments

The main idea behind this monitor is actually very specific. It is designed for bright environments such as sitting next to a window, working in an office, or even being outdoors. UPERFECT is using what they call NxtLED™ tech. From what they describe, it is a layered system with a backlight, diffusion layers, and a surface coating that reduces reflections.
I have used a lot of anti-glare screens before. Usually, an anti-glare screen is just average and does not stand out much. This one feels different. After using it for a while, the improvement is obvious. It diffuses reflections extremely well, even better than a typical IPS panel. That makes a real difference in everyday use.
Real-World Reflection Test
I set up a very harsh lighting scenario. There is a strong overhead light and a large bright window behind me. This kind of setup usually makes screens very hard to use.
I compared it with a glossy OLED display, and the difference is quite dramatic. On the OLED screen, even with a bright image, it behaves like a mirror. On darker scenes, reflections completely take over the screen. You can clearly see everything behind you. On the UPERFECT display, it is very different. Reflections are still there if you try to catch them, but they are diffused and much less noticeable. Most of the time, you are just focused on the content.
If you have ever worked near a window, you will understand how important this is. Visibility is usually a big problem in those situations.
Comparison with a Competing Monitor

Interestingly, UPERFECT was confident enough to send a competing monitor along with this one. On paper, the specs look similar. It has the same size and resolution, with a slightly lower refresh rate at 100Hz. In real use, especially when it comes to glare and brightness, the difference is very clear.
The competing monitor shows heavy reflections, which is typical for standard panels. The NxtLED™ display handles this much better. The improvement is not subtle. You notice it immediately.
Brightness and Usability
Brightness plays an important role here as well. This monitor gets bright enough to handle strong ambient light. Combined with the anti-reflective coating, it stays usable in conditions where many other screens struggle. Even in the worst lighting setup with a bright window behind me, it still performs well. In a more controlled environment, it looks even better.
Color Performance

Color performance is quite interesting. When placed next to an OLED display, you would normally expect the OLED to look better. It does have deeper blacks, which is expected.
However, in terms of overall color presentation, the UPERFECT display performs surprisingly well. In some cases, it even looks better. Reds appear very vibrant, sometimes even more than on the OLED. Skin tones also look more natural.
On the OLED screen, colors can sometimes feel over-saturated. Greens in particular can look exaggerated and unrealistic. They look great for games, but not always true to life. On the UPERFECT display, colors feel more balanced. They are still vibrant, but closer to how things actually look in real life.
So depending on whether you prefer accuracy or dramatic visuals, you might actually prefer this display.
Tuning and Settings

The monitor also offers a range of settings. You can adjust brightness, contrast, saturation, and color temperature. If you want a more saturated look for gaming, you can easily increase it. Out of the box, the default settings already look good. Personally, I did not feel the need to make major adjustments.
Audio Performance

The built-in speakers are a bit of a surprise. They are actually quite decent. When compared to a Lenovo Legion 5 laptop, the monitor sounds noticeably better. It is louder and clearer. This is not the main selling point, but it becomes useful when connecting devices like phones, tablets, or handheld consoles.
Gaming Experience

From a gaming perspective, it performs exactly as expected. With 120Hz and FreeSync support, gameplay feels smooth. There is no visible screen tearing, and everything runs cleanly. 1080p resolution also makes sense here.
For devices like the Nintendo Switch, handheld gaming PCs, or mid-range GPUs, 1080p is easier to run. You get better performance and a cleaner image without relying heavily on scaling.
Some devices can output 4K, but often through upscaling. That can reduce performance and introduce visual artifacts. In practice, a 1080p display like this can provide a better experience.
Portability and Daily Use
As a portable monitor, it fits well into everyday use. It comes with a carrying case and is thin enough to fit into a bag. The size strikes a good balance. It is large enough to be useful but still easy to carry.
More importantly, it works well in environments where you cannot control the lighting. That is where it really stands out compared to other portable monitors.
Final Thoughts
This is a product with a clear purpose. It is not trying to compete with high-resolution displays or OLED panels in terms of contrast. Instead, it focuses on solving a real problem, which is visibility in bright environments.
It does that very well. If you plan to use a portable monitor in cafés, offices, classrooms, or any bright setting, this makes a noticeable difference. It is bright, it handles reflections effectively, and it performs well for gaming.
Overall, I like it quite a bit.
