UMax 22 Touch Review: Best 22-Inch 1440P Touchscreen Monitor with Stand reviewed by Parka Blogs
This review is contributed by Parka Blogs.
The UPerfect UMax 22 is one of several large portable displays that the company sells. This is a 22-inch QHD 60Hz display price at USD 309. A touchscreen model was launched months later at USD 389.
DESIGN
This is an interesting monitor because it’s huge and it’s still portable. Since it’s designed to be portable, it’s much slimmer than most desktop monitors, and it doesn’t take up much space on the table.
The built-in kickstand is convenient. The display also supports VESA mount (75 x 75cm) so it works with VESA stands and monitor arms. UPERFECT does sell a UStand (USD 69) that looks pretty good.
I prefer to have my display on a tablet stand instead because it’s easier to store the display away when not in use.
VISUAL QUALITY
The 22-inch display has 2560 x 1440 resolution which is reasonably sharp for the size. Refresh rate is 60Hz. I measured colour support for 100% sRGB and 88% AdobeRGB so colour accuracy is decent.
The display has to be connected to power in order to achieve maximum brightness, which is 276 nits from what I’ve measured.
For video connection, there’s HDMI and USB-C video, and all cables are included.
TOUCHSCREEN
The UMax 22 was originally launched with a matte display, but the company has added a new glossy touchscreen model that supports 10-point touch.
I personally prefer a matte surface but if you want glossy (even more vibrant colours) and touchscreen, now you have the option, but be prepared to spend a bit more.
PORTABILITY
If you really have to bring the display outdoors or around, it’s best to get a carrying case for it because there’s no case included with the purchase. UPerfect does sell a 22-inch carrying case priced at USD 39.
Big portable displays are not common and the UMax 22 is a pretty good one.
