Note: Under normal conditions, the Power X3 can support up to three external monitors rated below 15W without requiring external power. When connecting three monitors rated above 15W, one monitor will need an external power source. Some high-resolution, high-refresh-rate monitors rated around 15W may also require external power due to higher actual power consumption. 

In addition, the Power X3 is powered by PD65W. Upgrading to a PD100W adapter will not increase its output capacity or eliminate the need for external power for the monitors. Therefore, increasing the dock’s power supply is not recommended as a way to reduce the need for external power.
